the hungarian cikta breed

is one of those very very old breeds of sheep

they are not nice!!! they are mostly considred the "wilder type" of sheep breeds

and their wool is a bit like that aswell

it was used traditionaly for mostly outergarmetns vests and even for very sturdy industrictibel socks

it was in the "old days" mostly spun into a creppe effect quadripled yanr structure

now we have again in 2025 procured a big amount of Cikta wool

very natural white ( read more yellowish-soft ecru then white but stillvery nice NATURAL wool color)

last year we spun a mixed color sinto that special sock type wool

this year we have a more white color and more softer selection of wool

so we are able to produce a special very boucny and voluminous place takenig yarn

into a double thick thin construction = what we cal a onducating yanr construction

this wool has not have any threatment what so ever

only a natural soaping for cleaning the wool

you can handwash it perfectly

PERFECT for pullovers sjaals etc

perfect for weaving pleads

esp if you want a rustic look a like plaid

it is MARVELOUS

it takes color in a fluffy wuffy 1 2 3 time
